Why it's different

Not a red light. A reason — with the source.

Food scanners today give everyone the same one-size-fits-all score, with no explanation and no science attached. FoodScan Pro was built to answer the question you're actually asking in the grocery aisle: "will this hurt me?"

🫀

Risks by disease, not just a number

See how each ingredient relates to cancer, heart disease, stroke, diabetes, kidney, brain and digestive health — scored 0–10, ingredient by ingredient.

🧬

Personalized to your family history

Diabetes in the family? Heart disease? Tell us once — every scan is weighted to the risks that matter most to you, plus your allergens and diet.

📚

Every claim has a source

Explanations cite WHO, FDA and EFSA assessments, with a confidence level on each. No fear-mongering, no mystery scoring — receipts, not vibes.

🔄

Don't just avoid it — swap it

AI suggests healthier substitutes for risky ingredients and cleaner similar products, with where to find them.

FAQ

Questions, answered.

Is this medical advice?

No. FoodScan Pro is an informational tool that summarizes published scientific assessments from bodies like the WHO, FDA and EFSA. It doesn't diagnose, treat or replace a healthcare professional — always talk to your doctor or a registered dietitian about your diet and health conditions.

How is this different from Yuka or other scanner apps?

Three ways: we break risk down by specific disease instead of one generic score; we weight results to your personal profile, including family health history; and we cite the source behind every claim, with a confidence level. Most scanners do none of these.

What if a product isn't in the database?

You can paste the ingredient list directly — from the label, a menu or a website — and FoodScan Pro analyzes it the same way. No barcode needed.

What happens to my health information?

Your preferences (allergens, diet, family history) are used only to personalize your analyses. They're never sold and never shared with food brands — FoodScan Pro takes no money from the industry it analyzes.

When does it launch, and on what devices?

We're launching on iPhone first. Waitlist members get access before everyone else, plus founding-member perks at launch.
